ANANTAPUR: A mandal-level Congress leader and former sarpanch of Ralla Anantapuram village in Kambadur mandal K. Ramakrishna (50) was allegedly hacked to death by unidentified persons late on Tuesday night, when he was returning home from his farm. According to the police and information reaching here, he was hacked repeatedly by two masked men. The assailants fled in the direction of Komatinayunipalyam after the villagers were alerted by the barking of street dogs. Ramakrishna died on the spot. The deceased was frequenting to his farm fields during nights for the last three days to water his groundnut crop as there was no power supply in the day.
