Seminar on phytochemistry
MALAPPURAM: The Chemistry Department of NSS College, Manjeri, organised a two-day seminar on ‘Phytochemistry and its ethnobotanical significance’ in association with the University Grants Commission (UGC). The speakers at the seminar underscored the dynamic nature of phytochemistry and its increasing interaction with other branches like biochemistry, physiology, pharmacology, medicine and biophysics. Experts from different universities called upon society to save plants to save life.
N. Girija, college Principal, presided over the seminar. P.K. Indira, coordinator of the seminar, welcomed the gathering. T.N. Vijayakumar, faculty member, proposed a vote of thanks.
