Eye camp

Madurai: Over 240 persons were screened at a free eye camp organised by the District Blindness Control Society in association with Subashini Charities, Karuppayoorani panchayat and Vizhiyagam Eye Hospital at Karuppayoorani on Monday.

The camp was inaugurated by A. Amirthamarasu, panchayat president. Forty two persons, identified with cataract, were referred to Vizhiyagam Eye Hospital for surgery.
