Thanjavur
THANJAVUR: Holiday has been declared for all schools and colleges in Thanjavur and Tiruvarur districts for the fourth consecutive day on Thursday following heavy rains, according to communication received from M. S. Shanmugam and M.Chandrasekaran, Collectors of Thanjavur and Tiruvarur districts respectively on Wednesday. A holiday has been declared for all educational institutions in Karur district also, according to Collector J. Umamaheswari. All schools and colleges will remain closed in Pudukottai, Nagapattinam and Ariyalur districts. In Perambalur district, holiday has been declared only for schools.
