LAURELS: Writer M.T. Vasudevan Nair honouring actor Thilakan at ‘Gurupranamam’, a function organised by the Malayalam Cine Techincians’ Association, in Thrissur on Thursday. Thrissur: Actor Thilakan, lyricist Yusefali Kecheri and composer M.G. Radhakrishnan were felicitated at ‘Gurupranamam’, a function organised by the Malayalam Cine Technicians’ Association here on Thursday evening. Addressing the function, writer M.T. Vasudevan Nair recalled their contribution to Malayalam cinema. Full of praise“In his works, Yusefali Kecheri has placed humanism above everything else. Thilakan is one of my favourite actors. His individuality is patent. M.G. Radhakrishan’s songs are rooted in the Malayali ethos,” Mr. Vasudevan Nair said. Writer-director Lohithadas, director Satyan Anthicaud and singer K.S. Chitra paid homage to Thilakan, Yusefali Kecheri and M.G. Radhakrishnan respectively. Film directors Hari Kumar, Sibi Malayil and Thampi Kannanthanam and K.R. Mohanan were present on the occasion.
