Security tightened at railway stations

KOCHI: The Railway Protection Force has tightened security arrangements at railway stations across the State.

Highly-placed sources said that apart from inspection of luggage and abandoned bags, sniffer dogs of the local police and the RPF had been deployed at prominent stations.

Surveillance cameras at the Trivandrum Central, Ernakulam Junction and Thrissur railway stations were being monitored round-the-clock, the sources said..
