Sentenced to 10-year RI

The 7th Additional District Court Judge K. Bhisma Gangeyudu on Thursday sentenced a man to undergo 10 years rigorous imprisonment and pay a fine of Rs.5,000 for being responsible for the death of his daughter. S. Atchanna of Krishnarayapuram was living separately with his daughter Sandhya following a dispute with his wife. On May 29, 2006, Sandhya left home to see her mother. Atchanna was infuriated, brought his daughter back, . beat and pushed her. The girl fell to the ground and her head hit a stone. She died on the spot.
