College inauguration
Sree Abirami College of Nursing was inaugurated recently by Rural Industry and Animal Husbandry Minister Pongalur N. Palanisamy.
On the same occasion, Collector V. Palanikumar inaugurated the Department of Surgical Gastroenterology of the Sree Abirami Hospital.
Alumni meeting
The third alumni association meeting of Dr. NGP College of Education was held recently. The new office bearers who were elected are: S. Kumarasamy as secretary, K.C. Radhamani as treasurer, and M. Radhakrishnan as joint secretary.

A faculty development programme on “Future Electrical Energy Requirements of India and Solution Methods” was organised at the Coimbatore Institute of Technology.
K. Kasthurirangan, Vice-Chairman, Indian Wind Power Association, inaugurated the development programme and spoke on the topic.
