TIRUCHI: The annual The Hindu Young World painting competition will be held in Tiruchi on November 30 (Sunday). CategoriesThe contest would be conducted in two categories – ‘juniors,’ for students of standards IV to VII, and ‘seniors,’ for students of standards VIII to X. The venue for the on the spot painting competition will be Jubilee Hall, St. Joseph’s College, near Chathiram Bus Stand. The competition commences at 9 a.m. The duration of the competition is two hours. Participants should report at the venue at 8.15 a.m. and should bring the call letter with them. Call letters to the students selected for the finals have already been sent to the schools last week. From a large number of entries received from the students in central districts in the junior and senior categories for the preliminary rounds, 200 from each category have been selected for the finals. CertificatesApart from the first, second and third prizes, there will be seven consolation prizes in each category. Participation certificates will be given to all the finalists. ICL India captain R. Sathish will be the chief guest for the valediction at 1 p.m.
