Rajyotsava at Infosys

MYSORE: Infosys Technologies on Thursday celebrated the Karnataka Rajyotsava in a grand manner at its campus here. The celebrations, which came to a glittering end with a colourful cultural programme, began about three weeks ago with a variety of sports events, like kabaddi, volleyball and “lagori”.

There was enthusiastic participation, a press release said here.

Veteran Kannada actor K.S. Ashwath, noted theatre personality Master Hiranniah, author Vikram Sampath and Shaji Mathew, Infosys Technologies Mysore DC head, took part in the function.

Mr. Sampath, who is the author of “Splendours of Royal Mysore”, spoke about the history of Mysore.

The evening’s cultural programme included a soulful rendering of the “Nadageethe”, followed by a Bharatanatyam performance by the engineers at Infosys.
