People’s adalat in six taluks

ALAPPUZHA: In an attempt to set right the anomalies and procedural delays plaguing the government’s village and taluk offices, the district administration will hold People’s Adalats in the six taluks in the district.

According to District Collector V.K. Balakrishnan, the adalats were aimed at addressing the complaints from the public regarding the functioning of village and taluk offices.

Existing grievances would be settled and fresh complaints would be received during the ‘adalats’ that would be held on December 20, 22 and 23.

The adalat at Cherthala would be from10 a.m. on December 20, while it would be from 2.30 p.m. the same day at Ambalapuzha. The Kuttanad leg of the attempt would be from 10 a.m. on December 22 while complaints from the Karthikapally taluk would be heard and settled from 2.30 p.m. the same day.

The adalat at Mavelikara would be from 10 a.m. on December 23 and from 2.30 p.m. the same day at Chengannur.

The public would have to submit their complaints at the respective taluk offices on or before the above mentioned designated dates.

The Collector, deputy collectors, revenue divisional officers, the survey deputy director, district survey superintendent, re-survey superintendentswill be present at the adalats.
