Move aimed at making city hotels secure
|
HYDERABAD: Even as the rescue operations in terror struck Mumbai came to an end, the Hyderabad police began an exercise on Saturday to make hotels secure here.
They decided to impart training to the guards of hotels by City Security Wing on all security related aspects and the Joint Commissioner of Police (Coordination and Security), Kripanand Tripathi Ujela, would be the nodal officer for this initiative. At a meeting with hoteliers and representatives of the hospitality industry, City Police Commissioner B. Prasada Rao assured that the local police would periodically examine the hotels and help step up vigil with the assistance of the CSW. Mr. Rao appealed to the hoteliers to familiarise themselves with the latest developments on security issues by browsing the city police website which keeps posting tips, suggestions and feedback from people regularly.
The meeting discussed at length various issues connected to safety of the customers visiting the hotels.
