Rajasthan BJP expels Kota leaders

Kota: Cracking whip against dissidents, the Rajasthan unit of BJP has expelled seven of its office-bearers from the party for six years.

BJP State unit president Om Prakash Mathur expelled leaders from Kota district for six years for opposing the official candidates and supporting some independent candidates.

The office-bearers include vice presidents of city BJP unit Bhuvenesh Sharma, Heerandra Sharma, Arjun Khangar, District secretaries Giriraj Gupta and Rakesh Chaturvedi.

Reaction

However, reacting to their expulsion from the party, the leaders said they have acted in accordance with the principles of the party by not supporting people of “doubtful integrity”.

“The other candidates who we are supporting believe in true Hindu ideology,” they said. --PTI
