Girl caught in floods rescued

ATTUR: A team of fire and rescue services personnel rescued a girl who got caught in the flash floods in Vashista River near here on Saturday.

Police said Kathija (7) of Mullaivadi and a few children were playing on the ground level bridge constructed across the river, when she was swept away by flash floods. Two youths, who were standing near the bridge, jumped into the river and caught the girl. They made her to clung to a rock. The fire and rescue personnel rescued the girl.
