Chandigarh: Amritsar continued to reel under intense cold for the sixth consecutive day on Sunday as the chill swept most parts of Punjab though night temperatures showed marginal increase since yesterday in Haryana. The minimum at Amritsar settled at 4.6 degrees Celsius, three degrees below the normal range, the Meteorological Department said here. Patiala also experienced a cold night recording a low of 7 degrees Celsius, two below normal. The low at Ludhiana dropped by two degrees since yesterday to settle at 6.9 C. Karnal registered a minimum of 9 C. PTI
