KOCHI: The rule of law should be upheld in a nation that has clearly defined rules and if the authorities fail to ensure this, the public should respond, said K. P. Radhakrishna Menon, former Ombudsman for Local Bodies. He was inaugurating the seminar on “Traffic Laws and Public Safety”, organised jointly by Chavara Cultural Centre , Fiat Justicia and City Police, at the Chavara Cultural Centre auditorium here on Friday. Father Roby Kannanchira, director, of Chavara Cultural Centre, presided and officials of City Traffic Police, Regional Transport Office, media and other government departments spoke at the seminar. A forum titled ‘Red Alert’ to watch out on road safety measures was also launched at the meeting.
