Bar Council enrolment held

KOCHI: Tight security arrangements marked the enrolment ceremony organised by the Kerala Bar Council here on Sunday.

A total of 543 persons, a large number of them women, enrolled at the ceremonies in which Justice V. Giri was the chief guest.

Around 3,000 people arrived to attend the ceremonies.

Nearly every one of them had come accompanying a candidate, but had to wait outside owing to the security restrictions.

The ceremonies were held at the Kerala High Court auditorium. Chairman of Bar Council Vinod Singh Cherian, presided. Jacob Varghese, Chairman, Enrolment Committee welcomed the gathering and M. Ramankutty, Treasurer, Bar Council, proposed a vote of thanks.
