A 60-year-old man, B. Narasimha, was found murdered on the pavement at Edi Bazaar on Sunday. Unidentified assailants killed Narasimha by smashing his head with a boulder while he was sleeping on the pave-ment. The incident came to light when passersby saw the body and alerted the police.

A lecturer, G. Shobarani (28), died after the motorcycle on which she was travelling along with her husband, Kalyan Chakravarthy, was hit by a speeding lorry at Bollarum crossroads on Saturday. Chakravarthy, however, escaped with minor injuries. The accident occurred when the couple were going towards Bachupally.
