Thrissur: A mahout was injured when an elephant hit him with a palm frond at Guruvayur Anakottil on Sunday. P. Sankaranarayanan, the main mahout of elephant Arjunan, was admitted to a private hospital with injuries on his face. He also lost his front row of teeth. The elephant was in ‘musth’, said the Anakkottil Superintend B. Mohan Kumar. —Staff Reporter
