dated December 2, 1958: Indo-Ceylon trade

The Ceylon Minister of Commerce and Trade, Mr. R.G. Senanayake, who is in New Delhi at the invitation of the Government of India, had a meeting on December 1 with the Minister for Industry, Mr. Manubhai Shah, and the Deputy Minister for Commerce and Industry, Mr. Satish Chandra. There was a general discussion on problems of Indo-Ceylon trade in the context of the foreign exchange difficulties faced by the two countries. It was felt that continued consultations between the two countries would help in devising solutions for such problems.
