DU teachers meet Arjun over pay revision

DUTA convenes a general body meeting on Dec. 12


NEW DELHI: A delegation of the Delhi University Teachers’ Association led by its president Aditya Narayan Misra met Union Human Resource Development Minister Arjun Singh here on Monday over delay in announcement of a pay revision for teachers.

DUTA has convened a meeting of its general body on December 12 to launch an agitation in case the Union Government delays its decision on pay revision. The teachers’ body has also asked the staff associations of different colleges to meet and suggest by December 10 the mode of agitation to be launched.

The extended DUTA Executive will meet next week and recommend an action programme for agitation that will be ratified at the general body meeting.
