Kids of organ donors assured of assistance

Umamaheswari visits their families in Karur
|
KARUR: Collector J. Umamaheswari on Monday visited the families of two persons whose organs were donated after they were declared brain dead.
The Collector went to the residence of Rani of Neithalur near Kulithalai in Karur district and offered her condolences to her and her two children Suchitra (15) and Anupriya (12) and assured them that she would take steps to get educational aid for the children.
Rani’s husband, Tamilselvan, had met with an accident and was declared brain dead. Rani and her children donated his organs to benefit some patients.
Likewise, Dr. Umamaheswari visited the house of Marudai of Velliyakoundampatti near Krishnarayapuram in Karur district to offer her condolences and appreciation of the goodwill exhibited by him and his children in donating the organs of Marudai’s wife Shanthi after she was declared brain dead recently.
The Collector assured that she would extend educational aid to Marudai’s children Suresh Kumar (14) and Gomathi (7).
