IN FULL FLOW: TN’s S. Badrinath made use of the placid wicket to notch up a century against Andhra at Vijayawada.

Chennai: A blistering 100 off 109 balls (16x4) by Yusuf Pathan was the highlight of Baroda’s dramatic four-wicket win over Maharashtra on the fourth day of their Ranji Trophy Super League match in Vadodara on Tuesday.

Chasing 227 for victory, Baroda was staring down the barrel at 75 for five; Maharsahtra pacemen Samad Fallah and Mun Mungela had struck early.

Irfan Pathan joined his elder brother Yusuf at this point. The duo, in a decisive partnership, took the score to 225. Although Yusuf fell at the doorstep of a win, Irfan (50 not out, 89b, 9x4, 1x6) guided his side past the finish line.

Earlier, pacemen Munaf Patel and left-arm spinner Rajesh Pawar claimed four wickets each as Maharashtra was dismissed for 303 in its second innings.
