Unfortunate

Kerala Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan’s outburst following his visit to the house of slain Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan was unfortunate. Had he taken the permission of K. Unnikrishnan, Major Sandeep’s father, to pay a visit to their home, the unpleasant situation might not have arisen.

P.J. Paul,

Kattoor

Niharika Gupta,

New Delhi

Mr. Achuthanandan should have been more circumspect in dealing with the emotional outburst of Sandeep’s father. People holding high public offices are expected to handle even embarrassing situations with the utmost patience.

Sibani Sankar Samantaray,

Bhubaneswar
