A closed chapter, says friend of Sandeep’s family

Bangalore: The controversy generated by Kerala Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan’s remarks against the family of slain Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan appears to have blown over.

“Absolutely, there is no problem whatsoever,” said Krishnan, a close friend of the family. “The family also regrets certain developments that happened when the Chief Minister visited the house. Those things need not be taken any further. It is a closed chapter.”

Efforts to contact Sandeep’s father failed as his family members said “he is sleeping and does not want to react.” — PTI
