KOZHIKODE: A bomb-like device dangling from a window of a class room of a local school in the limits of Thottipalam police station in the district created panic for more than two hours in the area on Thursday morning. The students of the St. Mary’s High School at Mullankunnu in Maruthongara gramapanchayat, who arrived on the campus in the morning, saw a fake bomb with a wick sticking out. A notice was also placed near the fake device stating that the bomb would explode, the police said. The students alerted the teachers who in turn informed the police. A team of police personnel examined the device and found that it was a fake bomb with waste papers rolled into a ball. Classes resumed later.
