KOZHIKODE: The Revenue Divisional Officer will chair an all-party meeting at Koyilandy on Friday. This was decided a meeting chaired by District Collector A. Jayathilak here on Thursday. Koyilandy had been witnessing violent clashes between Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) and CPI (M) workers for the last few days. The District Collector told the meeting that the leaders of both the parties had held talks at the district level. The RDO’s meeting will decide the date of the all-party peace meeting planned there. The Collector’s meeting was attended by T.P. Ramakrishnan and P. Mohanan (CPI-M); P.K.K. Bava, M.C. Mayin, T.T. Ismail, N.C. Aboobakker and M.A. Razak (IUML); leaders of other political parties, Police Superintendent (Rural) K. Natarajan; RDO P.S. Muhammed Sagir and Deputy Superintendent of Police (Thamarassery) C.T. Tom.
