Court notices to bigwigs over phone bills

Staff Reporter

NEW DELHI: The Delhi High Court has issued notices to political parties whose members have telephone, power and hotel bills pending against them for enjoying these facilities provided to them by Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited, the New Delhi Municipal Council and the Indian Tourism Development Corporation when they were MPs.

Issuing the notices, a Division Bench of the Court comprising Justice A.P. Shah and Justice S. Muralidhar asked the respondents to reply why the dues of their members were not recovered by them.

The Court asked them to file the replies by January 14.
