Labourer gets electrocuted

SALEM: A construction labourer was electrocuted when he accidentally came in contact with a live power cable in Kannankurichi on Thursday.

The police said Prabhu (25), a resident of Sivagiri in Erode district, was working at a construction site when the incident took place. In the impact, he was thrown on the ground and sustained serious injuries. He was rushed to Salem Government Medical College Hospital, where he died. A case was registered.
