Staff Reporter

KOLKATA: A security breach was caused by a motorcyclist in West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee’s convoy, here on Friday.

Niladri Shekhar Karmakar tried to speed past the convoy, violating the traffic signal as the Chief Minister’s convoy was passing by, police sources said. He was intercepted by the police.

On interrogation, the youth, who is a BPO employee, said that he violated the traffic signal as he was getting late for office. He was let off with a warning.
