Central team visits site chosen for varsity

GULBARGA: A three-member Central team on Saturday visited the proposed site of the Central university at Kadaganchi and Suntanoor in Aland taluk. The team also visited the Gulbarga University campus to explore the possibility of the Central university functioning temporarily from there before shifting to the proposed site. Secretary of the Hyderabad Karnataka Development Board Shalini Rajneesh and Deputy Commissioner K.S. Satyamurthy gave a presentation on the proposed site and its advantages and infrastructure available in the district to the team comprising the Joint Secretary, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Sunil Kumar; the Vice-Chancellor of MAU University, Hyderabad, A.M. Pathan; and the Joint Secretary, University Grants Commission, Renu Parta.

Later the team, accompanied by Mr. Satyamurthy, visited the site, 18 km from here, on the Gulbarga-Aland inter-State highway.
