Police say no to KRV convention venue

BANGALORE: The Karnataka Rakshana Vedike’s proposed three-day convention, Vishwa Kannada Jagruthi Sammelana, at the Palace Grounds in the third week of this month may be shifted to another venue, according to the police. “The KRV has sought permission to hold the convention, but we have not granted it,” Shankar M. Bidari, Bangalore City Police Commissioner, told The Hindu here on Friday. “Moreover, the State Government has taken a serious note to ban rallies or conventions inside the city,” he said.
