SANGAREDDY: A woman sarpanch gave some bitter advice to Praja Rajyam president Chiranjeevi by asking asked him to grasp the ground political realities and set the house in order. Ch. Raga Jyothi, sarpanch of Muneerabad in Medchal mandal, also bluntly told the film actor-turned politician during an interaction at Singannagudem, to give women their due share while allotting party tickets. She said: “I tried to bring certain facts to your notice but I could not meet you at the party office in spite of my best efforts. Similarly, when I tried to speak at a meeting in the past, the leaders did not allow me.”When Chiranjeevi referred to the ongoing government schemes, another woman, Reddy Balamani, said that supply of rice at Rs. 2 a kg was of little use when prices of all essential commodities have been increased.” Another woman sarcastically commented that what was the use of Chiranjeevi’s visit. ``In the past TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu visited our village followed by Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy. Now it is the turn of Chiranjeevi. Have these visits improved our lot?” she asked.
