Selected TNAU students after six semesters will continue their course at NSAC

Quality education: The MoU singed between Tamil Nadu Agricultural University and the Nova Scotia Agricultural College, Canada, will entail beginning dual degree programmes.

COIMBATORE: The Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Nova Scotia Agricultural College (NSAC), Canada, to establish academic and research linkages.

Undergraduate level

Signed by Brian Crouse, Director of Enrolment Management of NSAC, and C. Ramasamy, Vice-Chancellor of TNAU, the MoU will entail beginning dual degree programmes at undergraduate level besides providing quality education in agriculture, horticulture, biotechnology, agricultural engineering and allied fields.

Students of TNAU studying B. Sc. Agriculture and B. Sc. and B. Tech. Horticulture will be given an opportunity to register for the dual degree programme.

Selected students on completion of six semesters at TNAU will continue their course at NSAC.

At the end of the programme, dual degrees will be awarded by both the institutions.

In continuation of the collaboration, Canadian students will also visit TNAU to learn the rural Indian scenario, agricultural practices and crop cultivation.
