HUBLI: Seven persons belonging to two groups of the same community were injured when they clashed in connection with a case of a girl allegedly being brought from Savanur and kept in a house in Hubli. In the incident, which occurred on Monday afternoon at Subhash Nagar in Old Hubli, one person sustained stab injuries while others sustained minor injuries.The police gave the name of the person who was stabbed as Rasool Jamakhandi. The injured are being treated at KIMS Hospital in Hubli. According to the police, Wasim Abdul Karim Bijapur was reportedly in love with a girl of his community residing in Savanur and had recently brought her to Hubli. On getting to know about it, some members of his community found out where the girl was kept and arranged to send her back to her parents. They went to Wasim’s house to sort out the issue. However, their meeting led to altercations and Wasim and his three brothers Salim, Javid and Nayeem allegedly assaulted them resulting in counter attack by the other group.
