Dry weather
NEW DELHI: RAINFALL: Rain/snow has occurred at many places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh. Weather was dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of precipitation in cm are: JAMMU AND KASHMIR: Banihal, Kupwara, Srinagar and Quazigund 1 each.TEMPERATURE: The minimum temperatures rose appreciably in Jammu and Kashmir, rose in Himachal Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. They were largely above normal in Rajasthan and appreciably above normal in the rest of the region. The lowest minimum temperature in the plains was 07.2°C recorded at Amritsar(Punjab).
FORECAST VALID UNTIL THE MORNING OF 10th December 2008: Rain/snow is likely at many places in Jammu and Kashmir, at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and at isolated places in Uttarakhand. Rain/thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Punjab and west Rajasthan. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.
