Chennithala: Congress will return to power

Staff Reporter

KOCHI: Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee president Ramesh Chennithala has said that the verdict in the elections to the five State Assemblies is a clear indication that a Congress-led government will return to power in the coming Lok Sabha election.

Speaking after inaugurating the State office of the Kerala Samsthana Matsya Thozhilali Congress here on Monday, Mr. Chennithala regarded the strong showing of the Congress in the Assembly elections as proof of people’s rejection of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Mr. Chennithala described the economic stimulus package announced by the Union government as the strongest possible measure to help the country’s economy.
