RKS Kalvi Nilayam wins

Coimbatore: RKS Kalvi Nilayam posted a four-wicket win over Mani HSS in the final to win the CDCA inter-school non-age group cricket tournament, for the Saravana Jewellers Trophy, at the SNR Sons College grounds here on Wednesday.

The scores: Mani HSS 167 for eight in 40 overs (G. Srivardhan 32, Bharath Chezhian 38) lost to RKS Kalvi Nilayam 168 for six in 35.3 overs (Kathiresan 32 not out, Dinesh 31 not out).

Selection trials

Trials to select the District team for the non-medallist inter-District volleyball championship at Koradacherry from December 25 to 28 will be held at the Bishop Appasamy College on December 13 at 7 a.m. (women) and 2.30 p.m. (men).

State-level tournaments

The 36th State-level inter-collegiate floodlit basketball tournament for the PSG trophy will be held at the PSGCAS from December 21 to 23.

Dinesh nets winner

At Udhagamandalam, J.T. Dinesh struck in the fourth minute of the first session to help Rainbow Football Club score a solitary goal win over Sand Rock Sports Club in the third division league at the HADP Stadium on Wednesday. Earlier, Sporting Warriors Sports Club held Rallis Recreation Club to a one-all draw.
