Rashien, Nikhil in final

BANGALORE: Top seed Rashien Samuel will meet second seed Nikhil Reddy in the boys’ singles final of the KSLTA-AITA Talent Series (under-16) junior tennis championship here on Thursday.

In the girls singles final, third seed S.P. Ritu will meet the fourth seed Preethi Gokhale.

The results:

Boys: Semifinals: Rashien Samuel bt S. Raghavendra 6-1, 6-4; Nikhil Reddy bt Rohan Gaonkar 6-2, 7-5.

Quarterfinals: Rashien bt Rohit Sarwate 6-0, 6-0; Nikhil bt Anirudh Puranik 7-5,6-2; Raghavendra bt Kashyap Ashok 6-2,6-3; Rohan bt S.D. Prajwal Dev 7-6(1), 6-4.

Girls: Semifinals: S.P. Ritu bt Shruthi Prashanth 6-3, 6-2; Preethi Gokhale Vidya Bharath 6-0,6-1.

Quarterfinals: Shruthi bt Preethi Ujjaini 2-6, 6-3, 7-5; Preethi bt Surya Suresh 6-0, 6-0; Ritu bt Varuna Chandrashekar 6-3, 6-3; Vidya bt Abhipsha Rath 6-3, 6-2.
