The festival will be held from Dec. 13 to Jan. 4 Surprise gifts, discount vouchers up for grabs HYDERABAD: Come December 13, ‘The great Indian shopping festival’ promises to sweep customers off their feet with a slew of offers at all the multi-format retail stores of Future Group that owns Big Bazaar, Hyderabad Central, HomeTown, Brand Factory, Pantaloons among others. Offers galoreThe shopping fest, which the company claims to be first of its kind in the country in terms of magnitude and the offers up for grabs, will be on till January 4. Direct discounts and ‘buy two get one free’ kind of offers will be available on around 1,000 brands marketed at various stores of the group, General Manager of Hyderabad Central and Brand Factory, K. Venkateshwar Rao said. This apart, on any purchase worth Rs.1,000, a customer receives a ‘Future Group passbook’ that can be used to get assured gifts. “Once a customer gets a passbook, he/she gets a ‘sone ki chidiya’ sticker on every Rs.500 worth purchase made,” he explained the concept. The more the number of stickers accumulated the better and bigger the assured gift would be, he pointed out. The passbook will be valid on purchases at any of the group’s outlets. An additional gift could be collected by depositing the passbook with the stores. To make shopping more rewarding, customers to any of the group’s format stores would also receive ‘welcome discount vouchers’ of various outlets on purchase worth Rs.1,000, Mr. Rao added. Free gold pendantAt Gold Bazaar, a gold pendant would be given free on every Rs.20,000 worth purchase. Discounts would also be offered on various food and grocery items in addition to 51 per cent discount on carpets, said Silas Paul, Regional Business Manager of Big Bazaar. HomeTown would give away Rs.750 worth gift on every purchase worth Rs.5,000 made in addition to other offers, said G. Sivaramakrishna unit head of HomeTown. The group expects revenues totalling over Rs.700 crore from over 2 crore shoppers expected to walk-in during the three-week festival.
