Meet held

Bank of India, Coimbatore Zone, organised a customers’ meet in the city recently.

The participants at the meet sought moratorium on term loans, relaxation in margin requirements and lower interest rates, according to a press release that was issued by the bank.

In addition to this, they appealed to the bank to expedite settlement of various subsidies from the agencies concerned.

P.V. Krishnamurthy, zonal manager of the bank said the small and medium-scale enterprises were facing various problems due to the global economic slowdown.

The bank was taking proactive steps to mitigate the hardships faced by the units.

Project completion

Mindlogicx Infotech, a research and development-based technology company, has generated hall tickets virtually for the management students of Anna University, Coimbatore as part of implementing the Examination Management System for the university and its affiliated colleges in eight districts of the State.

A release from the company said that the system generated hall tickets contained embedded photographs of the students, examination schedule and centre details.

The tickets were generated at the university and distributed to the colleges.

Microsoft products

Microsoft has announced availability of Windows Small Business Server 2008 and Windows Essential Business Server 2008.

This is an updated integration of infrastructure server technologies for small business, according to a company release.

Large companies have specialised staff with technical knowledge, budget and time to manage IT environment.

The new products will get customer feedback for small and medium-sized companies and enhance end user productivity.
