VIP darshan: writ plea dismissed

HYDERABAD: A Division Bench of the High Court comprising Chief Justice A.R. Dave and Justice R. Subhash Reddy on Wednesday dismissed the writ petition seeking a ban on VIP darshan at Tirumala.

The writ petition was filed K.V. Narahari Babu of Tiruchanur stating that ordinary devotees were being put to hardship in the name of VIP darshan.

The TTD filed a counter affidavit explaining that the whole process had been streamlined. It said that specific timings were fixed for VIP darshan and no inconvenience was caused.
