More vigil along HPCL pipeline

Rajahmundry: Keeping in view the incidents of theft of oil from the pipeline laid between Visakhapatnam and Hyderabad, the Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) has decided to intensify patrol and take stringent security measures along the pipeline that passes through five districts – Visakhapatnam rural, East and West Godavari, Krishna and Nalgonda.
At a coordination meeting with the Eluru Range DIG, the SPs of East and West Godavari and Visakhapatnam districts in Rajahmundry on Thursday, the HPCL asked the police to step up vigil.
DIG of Police Ravi Gupta said that they had identified and documented every theft that was committed in the recent months and intensified patrolling along the pipeline.
