‘Private Bill on Telangana to be tabled in LS on Dec. 19’

Staff Reporter

SANGAREDDY: BJP State unit president B. Dattatreya on Friday said that a private members’ Bill on formation of separate Telangana would be introduced in Parliament on December 19.

After participating in a dharna in front of the RDO office seeking support of other political parties on Telangana Bill, he said the introduction of the Bill would bring out true colours of each party on the Telangana issue.

“As the Bill is going to be introduced by the BJP-led NDA, it will be the turn of all other political parties to clarify their stand,” he said.

Mr. Dattatreya alleged that TDP had taken up Babli issue to divert the separate State issue. He remarked that it was not impossible for Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy to convince UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi had he been serious about stalling the works.
