This Day That Age
The United Nations General Assembly on December 13 ignored a Soviet boycott threat and voted to set up an 18-member special committee for international co-operation in outer space. Members appointed to the committee were: Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Czechoslovakia, France, India, Iran, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Poland, Sweden, the Soviet Union, United Arab Republic, the United Kingdom and the United States.
