March to rediscover nationalism

PONNANI: The people of Ponnani will take out a mass march to Tirunavaya as part of their attempt to rediscover the nationalist fervour of the land on Friday. The 13 km march on foot from Ponnani to Tirunavaya will spread the message that only nationalist feeling and patriotism can help overcome the disillusionment created by terrorism. The marchers will pay floral tributes to the victims of the November 26 terrorist attack in Mumbai. The march will honour nationalist leaders of Ponnani such as E.K. Imbichi Bava, K.V. Raman Menon, K.V. Nooruddin, Gopala Kurup and Edassery Govindan Nair.
