Kozhikode: A 64-year-old German national was allegedly sexually assaulted on the Kappad beach, a favourite tourist destination in the district, on Sunday afternoon. The Koyilandy police arrested one person in this connection under Section 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) of the Indian Penal Code. He will be produced before the Judicial First Class Magistrate’s Court on Monday, K. Venugopal, Circle Inspector, said. The police said the accused allegedly tried to outrage the modesty of the victim. Her partner, also a German national, was witness to the incident.
