BCs to call State-wide bandh

Staff Reporter

ADILABAD: R. Krishnaiah, president of the State BC Welfare Association on Sunday demanded a Bill be tabled in Parliament during its current session to provide 33 per cent reservations for Backward Classes.

He warned of a national level agitation to press for this demand.

Addressing the BC garjana meeting here, Mr. Krishnaiah said BC organisations would soon call for a State bandh, the date for which will be decided in near future. He warned political parties of continuing to ignore the demands of BCs at their own peril. Earlier, he inaugurated the BC welfare bhavan.
