Job mela on Dec. 24

VISAKHAPATNAM: A job mela will be conducted by Uttarandhra Rakshana Vedika in association with Vizag Jobs Private Ltd., on December 24.

Addressing a media conference in this connection on Monday, Vedika organising secretary Karunakumar and president S.S. Sivasankar said that seven companies would participate in the mela that was intended mainly for jobseekers from Srikakulam, Vizianagaram and Visakhapatnam districts. The posts available include: security guards, sales executives, data entry operators, call centre executives, housekeeping, insurance advisors, sales managers and software engineers.

The educational qualification for most of the posts on offer would be a degree or PG. A pass in SSC is enough for some of the posts like security guards.

A database of candidates, who couldn’t find a job at the mela, would be would be maintained and the candidates would be considered when future vacancies arise. They said that the service was totally free.
