Swapnika remains critical

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: The condition of Swapnika, the acid attack victim undergoing treatment at Yashoda Hospital, showed no improvement here on Monday.

Though her blood pressure fluctuated on Sunday and she had some respiratory problems affecting her blood saturation levels, they were managed by the team of doctors attending on her including a pulmonologist. But, overall on the fourth day after the acid attack on the engineering students from Warangal, doctors chose to describe Swapnika’s condition as status quo. “We will have to wait and see and her condition is being reviewed at regular intervals,” they said.

Swapnika’s friend Praneetha is stated to be stable.
